Vasu is so excited to share this technique with you.

This old technique of creating photographs and blueprints was used to document ferns and other native plants.

Use local botanicals to make impressions. Learn how to coat the material, paper, fabric or any other natural material you can think of in a photosensitive chemical and later expose this to UV rays from the sun to create the vibrant blue silhouettes.

There is an extensive list of materials provided, paper, cyanotype solution, water tubs etc will be set up along with a dark room to coat the paper as it reacts very quickly to UV light.

Participants can bring Pressed botanicals, ferns, flowers, leaves, feathers, interesting semi opaque materials like bubble wrap, laces.

You can feel free to experiment with small pieces of fabric, light wood, egg shells as surfaces to experiment.

The options and results are endless!

This is a great chance to learn a new technique and meet other local artists and like minded people.

There will be a 15 min break so please bring a snack if you like. Tea and coffee will be provided.
