Two day workshop (10-4) based in the studio:

Applicants should have had experience in drawing and painting from a live model.

The aim is to take an inside out look at human form. Expand your perception by exploding techniques from more constrained previous drawing practices, and breaking away from methods that no longer work. Get out of your comfort zone with explorative use of wet and dry media combined with new ways of managing the subject.

Drawing is the discipline behind any artistic venture and life drawing expands one's skills right across all the fields of practice.

Students can expect rigorous and intensive sessions with a live model over two days: and critique can be expected in an open group environment. 

Bring lunch.

Students should be well prepared with their own equipment including paper suited to their needs and no smaller than A3 and ideal size should be A2. A drawing block/ visual diary for notes and planning.

Suggested media: charcoal, chalk pastel/conte, graphite, gesso, acrylic paints, watercolours and gouache, water soluble oil paint. 

This workshop will inspire and motivate students in an holistic way to re energise individual practices.
